Nov. 1-2: It’s the final weekend to visit the haunted forest at the Buford Corn Maze. (Friday and Saturday 8 p.m.-12 a.m., $13-$20, children under 3 free, 678-835-7198). Note: the Maze is open through Nov. 10. Check the website for the remaining schedule.
Nov. 2-3: The 75th annual Cotton States Cat Show at the Gwinnett Center Convention Center near Duluth shows off the top felines in the country. (10 a.m.-4 p.m., $6-$8, 770-813-7500)
Nov. 1: The Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville offers sock-your-socks-off laughs with “Dad’s Does the Burbs.” Performances also on Nov 8-9. (7:15 p.m. & 9:15 p.m., $10, 678-226-6222)
Nov. 2-4: Baps Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Lilburn celebrates the Hindu Diwali, also known as the “festival of lights” Check the website for visitor info
Nov. 2: The Loganville Police Department hosts the Donut Dash at Loganville High School. Includes 5K run/walk and 1-mile fun run. (8 a.m. registration, 9 a.m. start, $20-$25)
Nov. 2: Norcross resident Brenda Dixon’s battle with breast cancer is a community effort. The 5K Walk with Bren to Beat Cancer at One Heart Church in Norcross is a callout to join her and her family to benefit breast cancer research. (brenbeatscancer@gmail.com)
Nov. 2: The Southern Pro & Amateur Finale (natural bodybuilding, fitness and figure contests) is being held at Collins Hill High School. (9 a.m. prejudging, 6 p.m. finals, $20-$35, 770-995-5857)
