Authorities Capture Fugitive in Alpharetta
The wanted man turned himself into Forsyth County deputies Thursday afternoon. In addition to Cobb and Forsyth counties, the suspect is also wanted in Gwinnett County.
A 45-year-old man, wanted by at least three counties on various charges, turned himself into authorities Thursday afternoon at a location in Alpharetta. Kennie Askew, of Lithonia, was arrested by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Unit at approximately 2 p.m., a press release stated. Capt. Tim House of the FCSO said earlier in the week that Askew was wanted by authorities in Cobb County for traffic violations and in Gwinnett County for probation violation. In Forsyth County, Askew has been charged with obstructing law enforcement officers and driving with a suspended license after fleeing from a city of Milton police officer in the Bridle Ridge subdivision located off Highway 141 in south Forsyth Tuesday night.
