As for the current status of marijuana laws, I believe they are undeniably primitive and should obviously be adjusted to comply with modern science. It's embarrassing our government continues to fight these imaginary wars with its own people.
It's one thing to go after dangerous narcotics like heroin, cocaine, meth, prescription drug abuse, etc. But it's an entirely different issue to knowingly ignore or surpress what is demonstrably safe and considerably beneficial in support of outdated propaganda. If I have Tourette's then I should be able to grow my own medicine. If I have cancer, I shouldn't have to drive into bad neighborhoods to get a small bag of marijuana and risk spending what little time I have left in jail. How is this not a violation of our civil liberties? Red Sates PLEASE tell me how this is supposed to represent a small government?
