In 2005, Governor Perdue signed a law creating the state's first new four-year, public college in more than 100 years. Just one year later, Georgia Gwinnett College opened its doors. Now there are nearly 3,000 students from all over Georgia and the world working toward one of 12 degrees in fields including biology, information technology and criminal justice.
