The heavy rainfall expected during the Fourth of July weekend won't completely wash the patriotic spirit out of Gwinnett County this week.
Forecasts call for 2 to 4 inches of rain — and a Flash Flood Watch — Wednesday, July 3, and Thursday, July 4, prompting some local organizers to re-think whether or not they'll hold parades, fireworks and live music.

Here's a quick look at what's on, what's postponed and what's still pending (as of 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 3):
Still On
- Braselton: The festival and parade scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. July 4 in the Braselton Park was still on as of 6 p.m. Tuesday, according to the city's website.
- Buford: The "Fabulous Fourth" at the Mall of Georgia is on for Thursday, July 4. It's a rain or shine event, according to a mall spokesperson.
- Stone Mountain: The "Fantastic Fourth Celebration" at Stone Mountain Park is on schedule July 4-6.
- Duluth: "Duluth Celebrates America" has been re-scheduled for Sept. 14.
- Lawrenceville: "Prelude to the Fourth" on the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse Square and been cancelled and will not be re-scheduled.
- Lilburn: "Sparkle in the Park" in Lilburn City Park has been rescheduled from July 4 to Sept. 1 and will be part of the city's Labor Day celebration.
- Loganville: Loganville city officials say the city's parade and celebration has been moved to 10 a.m. Saturday. The fireworks display at Oasis Church has been rescheduled until July 6.
- Norcross: The Norcross Independence Day Celebration, scheduled to start at 4 p.m. Wednesday, will not include fireworks, but the live music is still on.
- Monroe: The "Freedom Fest" in nearby Walton County has been rescheduled from July 4 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 6.
- Snellville: "Star Spangled Snellville" scheduled for July 4 has been postponed and re-scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 31.
- Sugar Hill: "Sparks in the Park," originally planned for July 3, has been postponed until Saturday, Aug. 3, 6:30 p.m.
