Is your glass half full? Empty it...

My love of 4 1/2  years was a hard working man, full of energy and he would do anything for me. We were compatible in so many ways and I would  love to have been permanently with him but his glass was half full..

He was a good looking athletic educated man, He had been wealthy at one time but had squandered it away on wild living, (his words) However money has never been important to me. He had been in love with a girl 20 years prior to me, Katie, and they were still best friends..He had not dated anyone or been with a girl for 20 years. He and Katie did everything together. Then I came into his life,

He told me about her  and said, "If she asks me to get rid of you I will get rid of her and if you ask me to get rid of her I will get rid of you,," His glass was half full and he was not willing to empty it,,, but I could have the remaining 50%.. 

He was very good to me and I was spoiled for 4 1/2 years. We would go out each week to a mexican restaurant. He always tried to be honest with me about when he was around her and what they were doing,, They would go buy cars together. She was wealthy so she would give him loans with no interest. He would always pay her back. She was great,,  Usually on our one night out the conversation would turn to the wonderful things she was doing and I should understand how wonderful she was.. However they were not having "relations" so everything should be ok with me,, 

We were together 4 1/2 years. I always hoped I could eventually have 60% and then maybe 75%,, Our love could never get past 50%. I eventually gave up.. She was a wonderful person and so was he,, I actually liked her very much,, but I couldn't get past 50%

I want to love with 100% or more.. I want my cup to runneth over and his also..

So my point is this,, be sure your glass is empty of all your past relationships before you can start fresh.. Empty out all the left over love, anger and hurt,, or you will never be able to give 100% to your next love,
