Parkview Knocks Off No. 1 Grayson

(Photos added) Panthers score a 22-7 win over the state's and nation's No. 1 team.

Chris Carson scored two touchdowns and the Parkview defense was spectacular in the second half as the Panthers earned a 22-7 win over Grayson Friday.

Grayson entered the game as the top-ranked team in Georgia's Class AAAAAA and was No. 1 in many national polls.

"This win ranks right up there with winning two state championships in baseball," said Mac Marshall, who caught a 12-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Rob Youngblood to give Parkview the lead at 12-7 late in the third quarter. Marshall also is a baseball player. "The biggest thing we told ourselves [before the game] today, was to believe in ourselves."
