Falcons Coach 'Disappointed' by Turner's DUI Arrest in Gwinnett

The head coach discusses the starting running back's situation.

Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith said that he is "disappointed" by Michael Turner's arrest on DUI charges in Gwinnett, according to a media report.

ESPN reported that Smith met with the running back in Smith's office after learning of the arrest early Tuesday (Sept. 18) on I-85 in unincorporated Norcross.

"First and foremost, any time a player sheds negatively on our football team and on our organization, we are very disappointed," Smith said. "This is a legal matter, and it's very well-defined how we have to proceed with it through the league, and we'll let this process run its course."
