They're Making Shade at Sims Lake Park in Suwanee

Workers begin installing shade structures at Sims Lake Park.

A project that has been in the works for months and has been a strong citizen priority is taking shape in Suwanee.

Construction workers began Tuesday (Nov. 13) to install shade structures at the playground at Sims Lake Park. The playground area will be closed for approximately two weeks, though the rest of the park remains open.

Suwanee City Council approved $44,400 in June for the structures.
