Gwinnett Upgrades Traffic Management System

It also allows more TV and online viewing of some intersections in the county.

Most everyone in Suwanee and Gwinnett County has to deal with often-contentious traffic on a daily basis. And the county government is making improvements in its traffic management system that may make that task easier.

According to a county news release, the Board of Commissioners recently allocated $341,763 in 2009 SPLOST funds for an upgrade, which will expand use of the state NaviGator system. The upgrade, which includes added information available via live online streaming, is expected to be completed in mid- to late 2013, according to Gwinnett spokesperson Heather Sawyer.

Transportation Director Kim Conroy said, “This contract will improve our ability to monitor and manage traffic conditions across the county."

The upgrade also integrates the Gwinnett system with police, fire, the 911 Center and the Emergency Operations Center, the release said. It enables authorities to monitor the state’s cameras along I-85, which is critical to their incident management operations.

I disagree with a lot of your "gift choices"!!! The alike t-shirts are adorable,Read More especially in older couples, in my opinion, as obviously others cause they do it! My husband loves mugs and since we only run our dishwasher every couple days, he needs multiples (we also use for ice cream, soup and cracker snacks for grandchildren cause they can hold the handles easily!) white t-shirts are good for men to sleep in, or under dress shirts - a man always needs extra! Socks as well!! I agree a thoughtful, personalized gift is the best - but what is wrong with adding on some of these others as extras, or use because the man who has everything doesn't buy t-shirts, mugs or sock for himself!!!! Just my opinion, like the above is your opinion!! :-)
