Gwinnett OKs Transportation Work; $12 Million for Resurfacing Roads

Commissioners keep up an active agenda in 2013 of transportation improvements.

The Gwinnett Board of Commissioners kept up an active pace of transportation improvements at its Tuesday meeting.

Among the projects approved were:

  • a contract with E.R. Snell Co. for $12 million, for resurfacing roads countywide;
  • a contract with Pittman Construction for a revised amount of $631,000 to close out the Southbridge Road project in the Loganville/Lithonia area;
  • authorizing an Intergovernmental Agreement with Duluth for that city to maintain West Lawrenceville Road and McClure Bridge Road;
  • approval of a revised amount of $2.2 million to improvements to Old Norcross Roadway improvements, and Old Norcross Roadway improvements at Shetley Creek Bridge, in the Lawrenceville/Norcross area.
