Beaudreau's Commission Expenses Under Investigation

Ex-commissioner Mike Beaudreau is alleged to have significantly outspent his fellow commissioners while in office.

During his eight years on the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners, former district 3 representative Mike Beaudreau spent $22,797 while the combined expenses for the other commissioners he served with during his two terms was $15,936, WSBTV reports.

Those expenses are now being investigated by Gwinnett County District Attorney Danny Porter, according to a WSBTV article.

Porter, the article states, had been asked previously to look into the expenditures, but did not pursue an investigation since the expenses had been approved by the county finance director. Porter told WSBTV his office has since obtained new information that has prompted an investigation.
