Trapped Construction Worker Freed from Ditch at Home of Julio Jones

Gwinnett Fire responded to the incident incident on Camp Branch Road in Buford

A construction worker who had been trapped in a ditch by a collapsed retaining wall at a Buford-area home Tuesday has been freed, Gwinnett Fire officials said.

According to a Gwinnett Fire and Emergency Services news bulletin, the worker was being transported to a hospital for evaluation and treatment of injuries. He was conscious and able to communicate verbally with firefighters.

The man was at a home doing construction work on the foundation and was working in a ditch along the back of the house when the incident occurred.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, citing property records, reported the home is owned by Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones.
