Suspect Tries to Eat Drug Evidence

While the suspect was being placed in handcuffs, officers noticed him chewing a green leafy substance.

A Dec. 15 traffic stop ended in a trip to jail and an unusual snack for the arrestee.

An officer with the Loganville Police Department stopped a red Acura after observing a seatbelt violation. The officer noticed a strong smell of alcohol while speaking with the driver and asked the man to step out of the car for a field sobriety test. The driver was unsteady upon exiting the car and could not successfully complete the field sobriety test.

Upon placing the suspect in handcuffs, the officer noticed the man was chewing a green leafy substance.
