Storms Knock Down Wires, Trees in Lilburn, Snellville
Gwinnett County firefighters responded to several calls Friday evening after strong storms pushed through the area.
The strong storms that roared through Gwinnett County Friday afternoon kept public safety crews busy, according to Gwinnett Fire spokesman Capt. Tommy Rutledge.
Rutledge reported in an email media alert sent around 6:30 p.m. Friday that firefighters responded to several calls of downed trees and power lines, mostly in the areas of Lilburn and Snellville.

GWINNETT FIRE/MEDIA ALERT: STORM RESPONSE ACTIVITY 6/28/13 AT 6:22 P.M.
Firefighters were kept busy this evening responding to a host of incidents involving wires and trees down. There were no reports of major damage and no injuries due to these incidents. The following is a brief synopsis:

TREES DOWN
3000 block of Ansley Forest Court, SW in Snellville. The caller reported a tree down leaning on the roof of the home. There were no injuries reported.
5500 block of Bowers Road, SW in Stone Mountain. The caller reported a tree down on the house. There were no injuries reported.
WIRES DOWN
Highway 316 East at Drowning Creek Road, SE in Dacula. Live wires down across both sides of Highway 316.
