School Resource Officer Struck by Car at Meadowcreek High

The officer was struck during a foot chase with an offender Thursday morning, says Gwinnett County Police.

The school resource officer was struck by a car at Meadowcreek High School in unincorporated Norcross on Thursday morning.

According to Gwinnett County Police, the officer was involved in a foot chase with an offender when he was hit by the vehicle.

Police responded to the scene and located the suspect's vehicle a short distance away. The suspect fled into the woods, but was caught by responding officers shortly after. 

The school resource officer was transported from the scene by ambulance.
