Police Release Additional Details Regarding Bogan Park Suicide

Man found bleeding from his throat and chest in the parking lot of Bogan Park on March 20.

A 57-year-old man who was found bleeding in the parking lot of Bogan Park died of self-inflicted wounds, according to police.

In an email to Buford Patch, Gwinnett County Police Department public information officer Cpl. Jake Smith said the death was "definitely a suicide."

Officers were dispatched to Bogan Park on March 20 at 4:41 p.m. in response to a medical call. Upon arrival, they found Gustavo Figueroa, 57, of Buford, lying in the parking lot next to his vehicle.

Figueroa was unresponsive and, according to the police report, had a "large laceration on his throat and what appeared to be a stab wound in his chest."
