Police Need Help Identifying Suspect in Abduction Attempt of Girl, 10

The victim was not hurt in the June 1 incident.

The Lilburn Police Department wants the public to be on the lookout for a suspect in a recent abduction attempt.

The incident happened about 7:30 p.m. on June 1 in the parking lot of the First Baptist Church of Lilburn.

A 10-year-old girl said an unknown man tried to lure her into his vehicle while she was rollerblading.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black man, of medium build with freckles. Officials say he was driving a newer model Dodge Charger (possibly black or gray) with shiny rims.

Following the incident, Lilburn police said that the victim and her mother saw the suspect again at a nearby gas station. (See attached photos of video surveillance.)

The investigation is currently active, but police are asking for help in identifying the suspect.
