Police Investigating Burglaries at Nordstrom, Title Pawn Business

Windows smashed, but no items taken from either business.

Gwinnett County Police are investigating two recent burglaries at Buford businesses.

On Feb. 16, the owner of a building in the 4100 block of South Lee Street reported his business had been burglarized. The man said he had recently purchased the building and is in the process of remodeling it for his auto title pawn business.

According to the police report, the rear window of the business was smashed at some point between Feb. 13 and Feb. 16. The owner advised that since the business is not yet open, nothing of value was inside the building.

The alarm system for the building and the security cameras were inoperative at the time of the burglary.

The following day, Gwinnett County Police were called to investigate another business burglary involving a smashed window.

Just after midnight on Feb. 17, police were dispatched to Nordstrom at the Mall of Georgia in reference to a possible burglary. Mall security showed the officer where a display case window on the north side of the building had been smashed.
