Homicide Reported at Ramada Inn in Unincorporated Norcross
Gwinnett County police have identified the man as Dewayne Jackson, of Decatur.
Gwinnett County police are reporting the discovery of a deceased man at a hotel in unincorporated Norcross.
The victim was identified as Dewayne Jackson, 33, of Decatur.
Officials said he apparently died from gunshot wounds. His body was found at the Ramada Inn on Oakbrook Parkway, according to an emailed Gwinnett County Police Department press release.

Police initially responded to a shooting at the hotel about 2 p.m. on June 6. When officers arrived they found Jackson's body outside a hotel room on the second floor.
"Detectives do not believe this was a random act," the press release stated. "We are not releasing information on suspects or motive at this time."
