Gwinnett Police: $500K Worth of Jewels Stolen in Snellville Armed Robbery

Police are hoping the public can help find the two wanted suspects, who stole an estimated $500,000 in merchandise from Kay Jewelers.

Gwinnett County police say two armed bandits forced employees on the ground while stealing $500,000 in expensive merchandise from a Snellville Kay Jewelers last week.

In addition to the jewelry, about $200 in cash also was stolen. Now, police need the public's help in finding the two wanted robbers.

The police report states that a male suspect entered about 10 a.m. on June 5 and posed as a customer asking about Father's Day gifts. He then pulled out a gun, and pushed both employees to the ground.

The female accomplice entered and then used one of the employees' keys to open jewelry cases. One of the victims was forced to open the safe and cash registers.

Before leaving, the female suspect used a stun gun on both of the victims, who were already restrained by zip ties, the police report indicates.

The male suspect is described as 24 to 30 years old, and was seen wearing tan-colored pants, a white shirt with blue-checkered stripes, a tan, brimmed hat and sunglasses.

The female suspect is described as 24 to 30 years old, and was seen wearing black jeans, black shoes, a yellow shirt with a screen print on the front and a gray baseball cap.
