Gwinnett Father Pleads Guilty to Stabbing Sons to Death

Elvis Garcia-Nolasco will spend at least 20 years behind bars for the 2011 murders of two of his young children at a home in unincorporated Lawrenceville, Ga.

On Tuesday, a Lawrenceville father pleaded guilty to charges he killed two of his children. Elvis Garcia-Nolasco pleaded guilty to two counts of murder and one count of aggravated assault according to WSB-TV.

According to police, in February 2011, Garcia-Nolasco stabbed his three children at a home on Bridle Path Drive in unincorporated Lawrenceville. Bradley Garcia, 3 and Edward Garcia, 1, died in the attack. Another child who as also 3 at the time survived.

Police initially charged another man with the murders of the children, but later found new evidence linking Garcia-Nolasco to the crime. Investigators say the father tried to set up the initial suspect in a custody battle with the children's mother.
