Car Break-Ins Reported at Norcross Amusement Park

Inside the Police Reports: Damage was seen on all the victims' car doors in the parking lot of Malibu Grand Prix

Despite its recent good news of starting construction on the new water park, Malibu Grand Prix had a string of entering autos reported last weekend.

According to Norcross Police reports, authorities were notified of three incidents Saturday, April 6, at the 5400 Brook Hollow Pkwy. establishment.

In the first entering auto report, a 38-year-old told authorities that he was in the park with his family when he received a text message alert about his truck's car alarm going off around 4:30 p.m.

While walking to his car, he noticed two men standing next to it. As soon as they saw him, they got into a tan Tahoe with a blue temporary tag and tinted windows and drove off.

The victim found his driver's door open with pry marks on it. The wires under the dashboard also were stripped, probably in an attempt to steal the car, noted the officer in the report. Nothing was reported taken.
