GCPS officials confirmed Wednesday that a memorial service for Mr. Radloff will take place 10 a.m., June 29, in the Richard Radloff Gymnasium at Radloff Middle School in Duluth. It will be followed by a reception in the school cafeteria.

The gymnasium was named after Mr. Radloff for his staunch support of his wife's service to Gwinnett County's schoolchildren. And, in this past election, Louise Radloff made sure to thank him, as well:

"I can assure anyone that without his support, I would have been at best a one-term board representative," she said on Facebook.

Those wishing to honor Mr. Radloff may do so by sending memorial donations to Gwinnett County Public Schools Foundation Fund, Inc. Mark donations for the "Radloff MS Fund.

Additionally, donations can be made in Mr. Radloff's name to the American Cancer Society for prostrate cancer, or Interlocking Communities, Inc., a Lawrenceville nonprofit, where he was a teacher.

Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory is handling funeral arrangements.
