Gwinnett County Sheriff's Deputy Dies - Charity Fundraiser for Family is Underway

Gwinnett County Sheriff's Deputy Charity Fundraiser for Deputy Oscar Batista. Hosted by Project LEO, American Angel Works and Georgia Ethics.

Project LEO (Law Enforcement Officer) Charity Fundraiser

Gwinnett County Sr. Deputy, Oscar Batista, who had been with the department since December of 2005, passed away last week on May 9, 2013.  Officer Batista is survived by his wife and four children, ages thirteen, five, two and the youngest being only six weeks old.  With four children, the unexpected passing of Deputy Batista has placed his family at an immediate financial disadvantage.

Project LEO (Law Enforcement Officer), a division of Georgia Ethics, Inc., is hosting a charitable fundraiser to assist the family during this time of significant need and bereavement.

Project LEO is a 501c3, non-profit organization dedicated to law enforcement officers. Project LEO is committed to providing support and assistance (as funding allows) to officers and their families who are in need due to injury, bereavement or other hardships.

In memory of Deputy Batista, Project LEO is reaching out to the public-at-large to ask for your help in the form of tax deductible, monetary donations.
