Suwanee Farmers Market Off to a Wet Start in 2013

Wet, cool weather rules for the debut session of the twice-weekly gatherings.

When you earn your living outdoors, rain is part of the mix, according to David White of It Began With A Seed.

"But not the commute," White, a veteran farmer, said Saturday morning during the 2013 debut session of the Suwanee Farmers Market.

Rainy, cool weather ruled in Town Center Park, as just a handful of vendors and shoppers braved the scene. The farmers market is a "rain or shine" event, but participation and turnout obviously vary with the elements.

The farmers market will meet on Saturday (8 a.m.-noon) and Tuesday (4-7 p.m.) through October.
