New Traffic Pattern, Sidewalks on Cruse Road

A temporary bridge has been put up near James Road in Lawrenceville, Ga.

If you cruise down Cruse Road in unincorporated Lawrenceville, be aware of a new traffic pattern.

Starting Wednesday, drivers will be diverted on to a temporary bridge over the Sweetwater Creek. This is between James Road and Vintage Pointe Drive.

The county is working on replacing the bridge over the creek. The temporary bridge allows Cruse Road to be open to drivers during construction.

The new bridge will better support the amount of traffic that travels over the aging bridge. The replacement will also withstand flooding. Safety features including shoulders and and improved guardrail at the ends of the bridge will be part of the new structure.
