All Proceeds Benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals
On Columbus Day, October 14, 2013, RE/MAX Center of Georgia will host its tenth annual Play 4 The Kids Golf Tournament. 144 golfers are expected to gather for the shotgun start and scramble at 1PM, and play 18 holes at Bear’s Best in Suwannee.
“Every year, our goal is to raise more funds than the year before for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals,” notes Patrick Finnick, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Center. “We are confident that we will pass last year’s record of more than $25,000 with the help of a lot of our friends, clients and colleagues, including local business owners, other real estate professionals, and bankers.”
“This is an unbelievably fun event for a fantastic charity,” says William M. (Mack) Perry, one of RE/MAX Center’s Associates who helps coordinate the Play 4 The Kids Tournament. “People block this day in their calendar months in advance. Everybody arrives early to warm up, enjoy lunch and then play their best. There are raffles, prizes and a silent auction, and the day ends with a great award dinner.”
The success of the Play 4 The Kids Golf Tournament is made possible by the dedication and continued support of the sponsors. Only a few hole and contest sponsorship opportunities remain, as do a few slots to play in the tournament @ $100 per person.
“We are honored to support the magnificent work done by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals,” according to Perry. “This is a charity that everyone can rally behind.” On a personal note, he remembers how one of his nieces was treated at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for heart problems and is now doing “phenomenally.”
Celebrating its 30-year anniversary, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has grown dramatically since it was founded in 1983. The organization has two simple goals:
• Help as many children as possible by raising funds for children’s hospitals.
• Keep funds in the community in which they were raised to help local children.
In 30 years, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has raised $4.7 billion.
In March 2013, RE/MAX Center received the 2012 Shining Star Award, given to the one RE/MAX office that graciously donates the largest amount to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, one of the major charities championed by RE/MAX agents throughout the US. Since 1992, RE/MAX has raised more than $120 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
