Three Dollar Cafe Has a Unique Twist in Peachtree Corners

The popular eatery, with a number of locations in the metro area, has just opened its doors in Gwinnett County's newest city.

If you've been in the metro area for awhile, you're bound to be familiar with the Three Dollar Cafe restaurants.

Established in 1983, the locally owned and operated business has locations in Dunwoody, Alpharetta, Lawrenceville and Marietta, to name a few. And owner Won Woo decided that Peachtree Corners was the ideal place to add his ninth restaurant.

Three Dollar Cafe's newest restaurant opened Feb. 2 and is located in the Dick's Sporting Goods shopping center on S.R. 141 near the Holcomb Bridge Road intersection.

The revamped shopping center has attracted several restaurants, including Corner Bakery and Cheeseburger Bobby's.

But unlike the others, Three Dollar Cafe features a full bar, 13 big screened TVs and a menu that not only includes its signature hot wings, but eight different burger choices, nine varieties of sandwiches and six entrees.

It's all served up in a sports-themed restaurant with seating to accommodate about 150 or so. The owner's son, Joseph Woo, manages the Peachtree Corners location.

"We're best known for our wings," said Woo. "But we've got great burgers, and a number of sandwiches including a steak and cheese sandwich. My personal favorite is the Buffalo Bleu."

The menu also includes seven different salads including a Southwestern and an Asian Salad with Chicken.

"We prepare everything in house, everything is fresh, nothing comes out of the bag," he added.

And if you're a beer aficionado, the 40 different brews on tap, will undoubtedly peek your interest. The full bar seats 13, plus additional high top seating and booths, which all provide a great view of the five big screen TVs mounted above the bar.

There's an outdoor patio too. When the weather warms, patio furniture and TVs will be added said Woo. He said they plan to feature live music on the patio.

"We're excited to be in the community," said Woo. "Peachtree Corners has a great community feel.

Prices range from $3.75 to $8.25 for the salads, $8.25 to $9.50 for the burgers and sandwiches, the entrees are $12.95. Desserts and a kid's menu are available too. Hours: Mon-Sun 11 a.m. - midnight.
