Tea Room Opening in Magnolia Cottage in Duluth

To the delight of ladies who lunch and gentlemen, too, the Tea Room is returning to Duluth and opening in Magnolia Cottage.

The Cottage Tea Room will officially open Tuesday, April 2, in the charming cottage located on the grounds of the Payne-Corley House, a special events catering facility in Duluth.

Dream Keepers Inc. will operate the Cottage Tea Room located at 2987 Main Street. It will serve light fare and an assortment of teas from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. The menu includes chicken salad, quiche, soups, salads and homemade desserts.

A soft opening is scheduled Thursday, March 28, and Friday, March 29.

Dream Keepers Inc. is composed of five longtime Duluth friends Annette Summerour, Jane Wilson, Margie Ross, Judy Burel, and Emma Deavours, who started the special events facility. They initially rented then purchased the historic house in 2001.

Dream Keepers opened a tea room in the Payne-Corley House in 1998 and operated it until they turned the venue into a full time special events facility a year or so later. In 2004 Michael and Krista Ganley became the new management team and purchased the property in 2008. The Ganleys and Dream Keepers are partnering in operating the Cottage Tea Room.

The Ganleys also operate Park Café in Duluth.
