Local Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic physicians named Top Doctors by Atlanta Magazine

Drs. John A. Zora and Kathleen A. Sheerin of the Lawrenceville location of Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic (1990 Riverside Parkway) — the largest allergy practice in Georgia — were named to the 2013 list of Top Docs in the July issue of Atlanta magazine. Three other Atlanta Allergy physicians joined Drs. Zora and Sheerin in the listing. Seven total physicians were listed in the allergy and immunology category, meaning Atlanta Allergy’s physicians comprised more than 70 percent of those Top Docs.

Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., an established healthcare research company based in New York, compiles Atlanta magazine’s list of Top Doctors annually. Its physician-led team of researchers selects Top Doctors through a rigorous screening process that includes evaluation of education and professional experience. Top Doctors were nominated by both a nationwide survey administered by Castle Connolly and by licensed physicians in DeKalb, Fulton, Cobb, Clayton, and Gwinnett counties who submitted online votes for exceptional colleagues they would send their own families to.

Dr. Fineman said the practice is honored to have so many of its board-certified allergy specialists included in the Atlanta magazine listing. “This listing is a way of recognizing the important role specialists play in identifying and treating allergy and asthma conditions. These conditions can have a significant impact on the quality of life for children and adults, and can even create life-threatening situations without diagnosis, treatment, and avoidance of allergy and asthma triggers,” Dr. Fineman said.
