Gwinnett Gladiators Win Second Straight

The Gladiators hosted Orlando on Friday night and earned a second victory in a row over the Solar Bears.

The Gwinnett Gladiators hosted the Orlando Solar Bears on Friday night in Duluth after winning a 5-4 victory on Thursday night.  Friday's game was played to a lively crowd who cheered on their Gwinnett Gladiators to a 3-1 victory. 

Seven minutes and twenty eight seconds into the first period Gladiator Cody Brookwell (#25) scored the game's first goal.  Shortly thereafter Gladiator forward Justin Bowers (#71) scored the game's second goal.  The first period ended with a 2-0 Gladiator lead.

Five minutes into the second period, Gladiator forward Scott Arnold (#7) scored the Gladiator's third goals of the game, further increasing Gwinnett's lead.  At the end of the second period, had taken a total of 28 shots on goal compared to Orlando's 16. 

With 52 seconds remaining in the third period, the Polar Bears ruined what was headed to be a shut out night by scoring their one and only goal.  The Gladiators took 40 shots on goal versus Orlando's 22 shots on goal throughout the game. 

The Gladiators host the Solar Bears again on Sunday, March 17th at 4:05pm at Gwinnett Arena.
