Two Guns, a Computer and Other Valuables Taken in Mall of Georgia Car Break-ins

Four vehicles broken into on Jan. 12.

 

Gwinnett County Police are investigating several car break-ins that occurred on Jan. 12 at the Mall of Georgia.

In one of the incidents, a Louisiana woman said she parked her car at the mall at approximately 5:20 p.m. When she returned just over an hour later, she discovered her MacBook Pro, iPod Touch, Nikon camera, iPad, jewelry and Nokia cell phone were missing. The woman said one of the back doors to the car was unlocked when she got to the vehicle. The total value of the stolen items was estimated to be $3,000.

In another incident, a Toccoa man said his Droid phone, valued at $600, and his Barrett 9 mm handgun, valued at $700, were taken out of his vehicle. One of the doors to his vehicle had been pried open according to the police report.

A Winder man also reported a gun stolen in a similar break-in.
