Suwanee Plein Air Artists: Color Them Happy
The fall Plein Air event was held last weekend by the North Gwinnett Arts Association.
Just call it speed painting.
"You have to paint quickly because the light changes," Vickie Johnson, a teacher at Central Gwinnett High, said Saturday (October 27) at White Street Park in Suwanee. She and several artists were participating in the fall 2012 Plein Air painting event, organized by the North Gwinnett Arts Association.
Plein air is a French term that means recording outdoor scenes and landscape as it happens, before light changes. Johnson was set up in a wooded area in the rear of the park. "I love my trees," she added.
