MaxPreps Names Grayson's Robert Nkemdiche to 2012 All-American Football Team

Robert Nkemdiche, a senior who played on the defensive line, was the only Grayson High School player who earned the honor.

Robert Nkemdiche, a member of the Grayson Rams football team, was one of a few Georgians named to the MaxPreps 2012 All American Football Teams. Nkemdiche was named to the second team.

Nkemdiche was "the nation's No. 1 recruit finished with 59 tackles and five sacks. He was the Gwinnett Daily Post Defensive Player of the Year. He leaves Grayson with 41 career sacks," according to a story by MaxPreps' Stephen Spiewak.

Alvin Kamara, a running back for Norcross, was also named to the second team.

First team players from Georgia were:

  • Carl Lawson, a member of the Milton High.
  • Montravius Adams, a defensive tackle for Dooly County
  • Nathaniel Norwood, a hybrid linebacker/nose tackle for Lovejoy.
